Splurge-&-Book-Table-72resYou may already be familiar with Saint Louis Cellars, which features all wines under $20 and they are divided up by taste category–i.e. Fruity, Rich, Sweet, etc.  This past May, we expanded into Saint Louis Cellars Food & Wine and you definitely need to check it out!

Saint Louis Cellars Food & Wine features chef-inspired lunches, gift baskets, café-style tables, wines by the glass, a wine bar for private events, and event space for both large and intimate private parties.  The business adjoins Saint Louis Cellars wine store located at 2640 S. Big Bend (just north of Manchester Rd.) in Maplewood.

Besides having wines under $20, the store now features a “Splurge” section: wines that are over $20.  These wines typically fall within the $20-$40 range and include some names that will be familiar to many wine drinkers.  Saint Louis Cellars Food & Wine also feature all sorts of pre-packaged foods, including salsas, oils, pastas, dips, chips, breads, candies and more that would be perfect in any Saint Louis Cellars Food & Wine custom gift basket!

At Saint Louis Cellars Food & Wine, you can order lunch, grab a bottle of chilled wine from the to-go case and relax at one of the indoor or outdoor café tables, or you can take your order home with you.  Stop by today and check out all of the new features at Saint Louis Cellars Food & Wine!

Justin Roth - Cook/”The Student”

Justin-for-blog

Justin Roth moved to St. Louis last year from Cape Girardeau, MO last year to study at L’Ecole Culinaire, where he will be graduating from in March, but he has been in the food industry for over 7 years.  He comes to Saint Louis Cellars Food & Wine with the desire to learn.  ”This is a great place to learn and develop my passion for food from some of the greatest, most experienced Chefs around,” says Justin. “Besides the talent at Saint Louis Cellars Food & Wine, I’m very big about presentation and appearance of the final product, and that is something that is highly stressed here.  I’m excited to be here and be part of the whole show!”  Quick note about Justin: he was one of the few select cooks chosen to work the Commissioner’s Gala for over 4,700 people at the MLB All-Star Game this past Monday, where he met Nelly and Chuck Berry.

Nick - Staff/Resident Brainiac

Nick

Nick comes to Saint Louis Cellars Food & Wine with a long history in the food and grocery industries.  “I like working for Food & Wine because it is such a fun atmosphere.  It is a unique, café-style dining experience, and the staff is awesome.  I also love the challenge of doing something new everyday.”   Interesting fact: those super-cool glasses aren’t just for looks: he’s working on his Chemistry degree!
